In Teams, it even syncs up the mute button in the app! I changed this to "Headset", disabled the "Headphones" device, and now I can mute the mic when I'm on calls.

I noticed that Windows creates two Bluetooth devices, and in my case at least it was defaulting to the "Headphones" device for the Evolve2 65. Half the reason I wanted a proper headset was so I could leave my desk and mute/unmute the call from anywhere in the apartment. I was getting really frustrated with this, and thought I was going to have to send it back. My laptop is in and out of a dock which obscures the only USB-C port on the laptop, so wasn't really practical for me to use the included dongle. Neither the mute button nor raising the boom mic were muting the microphone.ĭid some research online and it appeared that the answer was to download the Jabra Direct app, but this doesn't detect the headset unless you're using the Jabra USB dongle.

I connected it to my Windows 10 laptop as a Bluetooth device, and I've been testing it out today. I just bought an Evolve2 65 to use as a Bluetooth headset for conference calls.
